Private Coaching an Advantage?

You name any gold, silver or bronze medal athlete in the world and I'll show you a coach that helped them get there. Name a superstar in the Entertainment arena and I'll bet apples to oranges they had a team working with them every step of the way. Name a self made millioniare, or billionaire and I guarantee they had mentors, coaches and a team of experts surrounding every step of their journey, and they still do. So, is there an advantage to have a Success or Life Coach?

Well let's look at it this way. Can you name the downside? Having an outside expert who is working with you not only to find your targets, or goals in life but to actually hit the mark or achieve the goal and than go beyond it,or leaning from the school of 20/20 hindsight which puts you looking to the past to figure out how to find and live your future. News flash... Looking to the past will only every give you the past, you can't look behind you to see where you are going.

So. To find yourself on the path alone, or with someone else, who is their to keep you focused on your path, is the question. You could bring up that you have good friends who advise you and that may be great, however your friends are going to be pretty much at the same point of the journey that you are, in fact if you add up the incomes of your five closest friends and divide by five you will get your own income give or take a couple thousand. The truth is if you are looking to break out, these are not the folks who are going to show you how. In fact, they may even question why you would want to change anything especially if they don't want to. They would rather you stay the same than have to consider the possibility of having to change.

So where does that leave you? Family? If you are lucky enough to have someone in your family that has broken the mold and become self made and successful, provided you don't have any heavy baggage with that person, they could be an excellent advisor. If they are an older sibling who has tormented you all your life, they may not be someone you are willing to listen to, so you will have to be the judge of that one. For the most part, when we look to better ourselves and our situations we do not have people in our immediate circle to turn to, so looking in new places for the additional growth and support you require to fast track you to the success you deserve is great and the added understanding, self knowledge and support you require can come very efficiently and effectively in the form of a Coach.

Is it an investment of time, energy and money? YES. However you are going to put in the time anyway and the process of change takes energy no matter what, however if the energy is applied where it will have the most effect versus spend on things you may discover were not the path, it can get tiring. Money? Well suffice it to say you will ultimately spend a lot more money attempting to find out how things work on your own, especially when you are attempting to change the way you think and how you make decisions which is the first step to manifesting real change in your life.

You ulimately have to decide is fast tracking or taking the shortest route to the prize is worth it. You have to determine is you are truly ready for success, therefore you will take the plunge and make the different decision and the personal and financial commitment to a Life or Success Coach. Having worked with many clients who are all striving to gain greater wealth in their lives I can safely say that working with a Coach and spending the time, energy and money on personal growth is the fastest path to success and the wealth you are seeking on all levels of your life. Understand that if you make the decision not to because you believe you can't spend money on that right now, you are reinforcing the belief that you will never have enough money. If you don't know how to change that simple core belief than you will be forever caught inside this limitation, which -by the way - a Coach will assist you in breaking free from so you never have to be limited again! See how it works?

You ulimately have to decide, are you worth it?

What is Happening Out There?

I ask the question only because I want to bring focus to where I believe it actually belongs. So, I ask you, what is happening out there in your life?

I'm sure you've got a laundry list of things that you can refer to; what isn't the way you would want it to be, what's not working, what hasn't happened etc. All viewed from an external perspective and always looking outside of yourself. That's where the real world is happening right? Outside?

Ok.. First. Your laundry list is focused on what you don't have, don't want and what isn't working. Guess what you get to get more off? What you don't have, don't want and what isn't working. No kidding. You get what you are focused on and if that is where you are at, than most assurdedly that is what you are experiencing. Second. The "real world" is such a speculative term as we are all part of something that we call the real world however our experience of this place is unique to us. Our definition of the truth is what's real to us and our experiences are exactly that, ours. You can take a group of people and have them all do something together and than interview them seperatly and they will all share a unique and different perspective on what they have just done. Yes, they will have all been together and will have some common ground, however their interpretation of what they have shared will be a little different and in some cases a lot different from one anothers.

We are not all alike, in fact no two of us are and that is what makes us so incredible. We have individual consciousness, we are capable of thinking for ourselves beyond instinct and we are capable of choosing our reactions. So, why do we have the tendency or need to "fit in"? That's something I believe we all ought to think about a lot. Why not celebrate our differences and cultivate the success within them.

I digress. What is happening out there, while it may be news worthy and noteworthy isn't the driving for in your life, what is, is what's happening inside of you. Your internal universes is the gage for your external experiences and until you get that, you will feel tossed by life's ocean praying for a calm sea. It doesn't have to be that way.

First, look at your laundry list and decide if you didn't have all those things you have written down, what would you have. So, for instance you if you wrote; "I can't talk to my boss he doesn't listen" you could rewrite that now from the idea of, if you actually got what you wanted with your boss what would it be? "I have an excellent relationship with my boss, I tell him my ideas and opinions and he listens to me all the time. We enjoy great communication and respect for each other". Get the point? Move forward to what you want and behave accordingly.

Second, get clear on your internal universe. Start observing your feelings and emotions around things. You reactions to life, are they positive or negative? Do you just react without thinking at all? Do you think a lot before reacting? Who are you? Get to know yourself. You may not like everything your see, however if you are willing to look you can than make changes and become someone you enjoy looking in the mirror at every day. And... this is important, ACCEPT yourself right now for who you are, love the fact that you came from somewhere and forgive yourself whatever you think you may have done. It's a clean slate. What do you want to create?

The outer world responds to your inner most thoughts, feelings and ideas. Your most passionate beliefs will manifest the fastest, so if you are in an unhappy place, start to realize you have the power to change. You are that remarkable.

I ask you one last time, what is happening out there? Take stock, define where you are, choose where you want to be, do the work on yourself first and go knock the cover of the ball. You deserve everything good.

Making Sense out of the Chaos!

Have you ever felt, at the end of the day there is just too many things that demand your focus and attention until you are no longer focused, or attentive?

That question is the key to discovering the illusive reality of balance and how it applies to your life right now, or how it could apply if you really start to pay attention. We do have a tendency to get caught up in what is "happening" to us in our day to day reality and we forget that we have any say about how we spend our time or what we focus on achieving. In fact I don't doubt there are those of of you right now how are reading this and rolling your eyes. I understand. I know how much it can take to actually be focused in life. However if you cannot maintain a focus on what you want, chances of getting where you want to go, or being part of the life you dream of living will elude you.

Gaining perspective is easier than you might think however. It can be a simple as using a pen and a little notebook. What you can choose to do is to write out the day. Just take note of what happened and when it happend, what you got done, what was a challenge and what didn't get done at al. Things like getting to the gym, while we know the benefits may find itself among the list of things that didn't get done! However the only way you will know exactly what is happening to your day is to put it in front of you.

Review what works and what doesn't. If you are putting in really long days, not spending time on yourself, like going to the gym or in meditation, or doing something you enjoy, you are living in chaos without balance. No worries that is where most of us tend to be until we make changes.

Once we get a good look at our life, plan on doing this process for about a week, we can see in black and white what works for us and what disables us. Where the chaos becomes our master and we spend out time reacting to it versus creating anything else. Let go of judgement, just accept that this is momentarily where things are. Now that we know this, we can begin restructuring, in essence making sense out of the chaos. This gets easier and easier the more we practice it.

You are going to keep writing, only this time instead of just observing you will begin to take an active role in how your day unfolds. List the things you choose to accomplish. Usually an excellent process the evening before, or first thing in the morning, however if you choose the morning, you must also choose to have the time to get it done. Day by day, choose what you want to have happen in your life, and than at the end of the day review what worked. You will find some stuff did and some stuff didn't. Reward yourself with a pat on the back and than ask yourself what you could do differently tomorrow to have the things that didn't work work. Apply what you discover to the next day and go from there.

As you get better and better at doing this you will start to plan your week. Meaning, on Sunday you will determine what Mon-Sat is going to look like and than make you modifications throughout the week. You may find over time that doing this monthly will be possible and that's awesome. Doing this process for the month requires a reveiw each week - to make sure your on track - and of course checking in every day to what worked and what didn't. Take heart, as you move through this it may feel challenging, it is just change. Change is good and in a short while that change you are feeling will become triumph.

This technique is simple and effective, if you are willing to do it, it will work for you. If you only do it to a degree, well, you will find yourself enjoying a degree of success. Ultimately whatever you choose to do, when you make a decision to have things change in your life, you must follow through.

Happy journaling.

Freedom

Being a millionaire, for most of us, means financial freedom. That is an awesome thing, however what if we don't know what freedom really means to us?

Here is a great exercise. On a clean sheet of paper write down "What freedom means to me" and go for it! I mean it. Write every thought, idea, concept, sillyness that comes into your head and just keep going. Write until you have exhausted yourself and feel complete. Than... Look at what you have written. Review it. DO NO EDIT it. Accept the typos, the impossible dreams as they lay on the page before you.

This exercise is great because it gets you in touch with your dreams. Your dreams are your ticket to freedom. If you find you sit there with a blank sheet of paper and nothing on it it isn't because you don't have dreams, it's that you haven't listened for so long, they are staying silent. In this case, go to the magazine section of your favorite bookstore and look at travel mags., home and garden, the Robb Report, your favorite car magazine, Spa finders, etc. Stimulate your imagination and continue to do so until you feel charged up and than write.

Give yourself a short time to do this. Maybe 20 or 30 mins. Pretend you are 14 years old... If someone had asked you to do a list of what freedom means to you at that age, it would be done at lightening speed. If you are thinking, you aren't writing.

Remember, you do not have to know how these things are going to happen, only that they will if you are truly passionate and dedicated to them happening in your life, even the really big stuff and especially the really big stuff. It all works, for you when you believe.

So, what does freedom mean to you?

Once you completed and reviewed you list, keep it someplace safe and than do the same excercise ten times over the next 21 days. Be diligent. I'll ask you right now, would you do this if at the end I said you would receive a check for one hundred thousand dollars? You would probably do it if I said you would receive a check for five hundred dollars, so lets take action and do this all the way because the pay off will be more than those dollars combined.

Once you have done this ten times, get all of your pages out and review them together. Find the consistant elements, the things that you wrote down every single time. You may not have written it identically every time, but you will know the things that repeat over and over again. Now, make a "Master Freedom List" from all the repetitions and there you have it. What freedom means to you!

It's pretty simple stuff, but if you don't do it, the chances of you finding freedom, finacially or otherwise are almost nil.

Happy writing.

PS. This is a good exercise to revisit every few months and at the very least, once a year.

Thinking and Growing Rich

If you do not own the book, "Think and Grow Rich" you deserve to. It's in every bookstore and it is a tried and true formula that literally create the invitation and opportunity to become wealthy through practised intention and focused mindset.

Obviously to pull of the intention of being a millionaire in 24 months, learning to focus that intention is the best gift anyone could give themselves. That does not mean
running around and spending like crazy or living life beyond your means, it means setting the intention, the goal to achieve a level of success that will contribute to you running around and spending like crazy if you want to. It's important to realize that when it come to creating wealth it must first come in the mind and than in the bank account - unless you were born into a wealth situation.

Too many people - myself included - get a taste of success and than either turn off the faucets or spend themselves into a tail spin living the "goodlife" with no idea what to do when tomorrow comes. This is not true wealth rather it is a quick pit stop and than it's gone. It is tough to experience success and flow and than cut it off and be on the other side knowing it's possible to have everything but still struggling anyway.

Mindset is the key to all of it and learning to think yourself into a state of being that you choose to live in, regardless of where you are, or where you have been, is the most important step to creating a permanent shift in you life and lifestyle.

Test drive the cars you dream about, take photos of yourself in them if that is what gets your dreams going. Shop for your ultimate dream home, go to ultra fancy restuarants and just have coffee or desert and experience the ambience. Go try on some nice designer clothing. Do not jack your credit, or make huge financial commitments before there is cash flow. For a few people out there, creating that kind of financial pressure actually works, for myself and many folks I have worked with, typically increasing debt does not lead to a prosperous mindset. However I must be fair in sharing that I know one individual that goes and buys a new car, or some other such item anytime they feel they have become comfortable and complacient and that gets the ball rolling again for them.

Whatever you find works best for you the one truth is that when you get crystal clear on the dreams and your goals and when you get emotionally committed to them, you literally can think yourself into riches beyond your imagination.

Happy thinking!

To Be or Not to Be

Becoming a millionaire, a successful human being on any level of your life is a choice. That's right, I said it, it is a choice. Perhaps you don't want to hear that and you don't have to. You can close this blog entry and just forget I ever said it! However, that is also making my point very clearly and that is, we all have a choice.

To be or not to be may have gained most of it's notarity from Shakespeare's Hamlet, however the truth of these words is so utterly simple that they often fall upon deaf ears. To become anything starts with a decision. To "be". A decision is a choice which can be made simply, or after much complication. Hopefully the reality of this will set in after a time and you will choose to have your choices come simply and easily to you. However, that said, without making a choice there is no target and you do not move towards anything other than what you already know. So, in essence, by not choosing anything you have made a choice and that is; not to "be"!

Could it be this simple? I say yes. You can choose to agree or disagree with me, that's OK, that is your right and I welcome you to have an opinion in this and every matter of your life. When you are involved to the degree that you are engaged in making choices, you are in the drivers seat of life.

Why would anyone choose not to be?

Well, being comfortable - which does not imply happy - is something many folks strive for. To know what they know seems to them to be the smart choice. To limit their experiences to reflect this continued safety net around what they understand their life to be about is the box they construct and place themselves in. No kicking and screaming involved, just compliance with the status quo. Hey, if that's what someone chooses than more power to them. Happiness means many things to many people, what creates happiness for someone else may be the extreme opposite for what creates happiness for me or you. Judge not lest ye be judged. Anothers future is nothing you can do anything about, so rest assured the only true choice you have will be over what you want to be or not to become in your life.

To choose not to be is a decision that will be supported by those who know you. They want things to remain as they are, it would not serve their purpose to have you go and make changes in their reality. In truth they may be well intentioned however the road to failure is paved with well intentions. To choose to be / create waves, make changes will stir the pot for everyone who knows you, they may not want this for themselves so they will attempt to convince you it's a bad idea and they will preface all of this with the concept that what they are doing is for your own good. Keep in mind they may be the ones who love you, however that doesn't mean they want you to change, even if it is for the better.

So.. Why make the choice to be, if it could mean judgement and alienation? Well, if you are anything like me, and if you still reading this than you are (!) to make a choice that does not support change and growth is just not a possibility. Oh, you may be able to put it off for awhile, keep it at bay, but at some point change will be inevitable just like eating and sleeping. Putting it off will not suffice, taking the plunge will be the only choice left if it comes down to that.

To be isn't hard, it's just a commitment. A lot of folks have issues with commitment however so taking a good hard look at where you fall on that scale may be a good idea. To be means to walk your talk, keep your word and show up when you say your going to and I don't mean just for other people either, I mean showing up for yourself.

To become a millioniare is to be thinking and behaving like a millionaire right now! You must first embody who you are becoming before you can hope to succeed. Now, no one is telling you that this is just plain easy, however no one is telling you it is hard either. You decide. To be or not to be... That is the question.

Putting Your Order Out and Getting it!

Most people think they have to know how things are going to happen before they make the effort to have things happen. In fact many don't even take the steps towards goals or dreams because they just can't figure out how it will happen for them. The truth is that you don't have to know how anything is going to happen, just be clear on your order and you will receive!

No kidding.

When you have your mindset tuned into the station in your head that supports your growth and achievement than you have everything it takes to become successful whatever that may mean to you. There is hardly a moment that goes by that doesn't give you what you want however we don't always want to believe this because we don't always like what we get. If, however you can believe it's possible that what you are focused on is reflecting back to you every moment, than you have just empowered yourself towards a better life.

Becoming a millionaire doesn't start with a bank account, it starts with your belief. When you realize that the universe is just like the drivethrough window at a fast food joint - which none of us eat at, because it's really not that healthy(!) - and what you ask for you get, than you begin to understand how simple it is to actually start living a life that is exactly what you ordered. Think about that for a moment. It's been probably a good decade since I was in any kind of fast food joint, but I do recall placing my order and not thinking about how it was getting filled, only that in a few moments I would have my order in front of me. I did not require knowing how they were going to prepare it, or what steps they were taking to make it happen I just knew, expected and got the end result. The universe works in the same way.

In fact, consider this, the universe always say's yes. No matter what you are thinking about and feeling emotionaly about, the universe will say yes to it. It has no filters to determine good or bad, if you really want to know what you are thinking about, or are focused on than just take a good look around.

Freedom is acheived first from within.
