The Quality of Goal Setting

Success Angel Speaks

It works!

What else can I say than this simple truth... I have myself resisted this idea so often. Call it fear of success, or fear of failure spawning procrastination and all those other great things, but the end is the same, it doesn't get done, things don't happen and if - in the past - I were indeed concerned about not getting somewhere, I pretty much secured that reality by taking no action! Sound familiar?

Well, it just takes action folks, that's it. No special skills required, just doing it and allowing for results.

So, what can we do to assist this process? Well, it will only make sense to you if you are ready to actually see different results in your life. If you are content with status quo than it won't make a difference to you whether or not you have any clue where you are going. If, however, you are looking to achieve something, get somewhere, or at the very least define a path to your next destination this is good information.

1) You don't have to know how, you just have to know it's what you want.

Leave the rest up to the powers that be, if you can dream it it's meant for you to experience. Once you have made a decision and start to move in this direction life will greet you. Unexpected opportunities will arrive, people will offer help and even the money you require to get this done will find it's way to you. Just believe in your vision and the rest will materialize.

2) Be specific.

Be clear. If there is a color and style, than choose the color and pick the style. If there is travel involved, the type of travel (First Class, etc.). If it's doing something for someone else, get very specific on the events, where is it happening, how will they respond etc.

3) Set timelines.

A goal will fill the time alloted, so push the envelope a little on this one so as to quicken your pulse a notch or two. Be real about transitions, make sure you're taking yourself through the process with breathing room as in; you're open to overnight success and also planning the ultimate success.
If your timeline goes by, it just means you required a little more of something to see this reality. Maybe it is just more time, or maybe more belief. Maybe more effort as you can't just write goals down and than forget about them. If this happens be loving to yourself and reset the timeline, however, be sure to keep the goal. You've just spent time building momentum, let it work in your favor.

4) Don't listen to others who may say you can't do it.

IMPORTANT.... Share your goal/s with those who will envision them with you and for you. Let go of the desire to debate your possibilities with anyone else who can't see the possbilities for themselves, let alone you.

5) Believe.

Set up your experience in a postive way. Believe in the reality of your goals as if they have already happened and no matter what may first appear on your radar screen, believe, believe, believe. The more you believe, the faster the goal will unfold.

6) Adversity happens.

You can pretty much count on this fact so just enjoy the ride. Realize that you have already succeeded - why? Because you say so - the rest is just stuff that you can move through effortlessly or get stuck in. Your choice.

7) Live in gratitude.

Give thanks for all you have, all the time. Focus on the abundance in your life and the blessings that surround you. I quarantee you will not only feel empowered in this process, you will realize how abundantly blessed you are. Give thanks for waking up in the morning, the floor beneath you feet, the sun and the moon, etc...

8) Tithe.

While this isn't typically included when it comes to Goals, tithing is one of the most important spiritual principles of success and wealth and I feel it belongs. Give 10% of your earnings to where ever you feel you are spiritually fed. This is not a debatable issue, although many people attempt to make deals and put this off. When you practice this simple principle, wealth finds you. Whatever you want more of, give it away. If you want more time, volunteer... Money - Tithe... Love, be more loving... Etc. This works.

9) Review and practice.

Read your goals every day, several times a day. Practice being successful. Envision life from the perspective that you have already achieved them and BE the person who has already had this success. Invite and repeat uplifting practices on a daily basis and stay connected to all the possiblities and limitlessness of your life. (Journal, read postive and empowering books, listen to audios, etc...)

So, there you have it in a nutshell.

I share this because I know it works. I realize that it takes time, energy and effort to do what is outlined here and to get clear on your life. Who do you really want to be? This is the question that stumps most people and keeps them from successfully manifesting the things they dream of and deserve. If you really don't know, than try things out. Pretend you just got a part in a movie and attempt different things. When you open yourself to experiences on this level, your true calling will yell loudly from within.

Just GO FOR IT! What have you got to loose other than the same old, same old?

Enjoy the process and enjoy your life.

Prosperous journey. Peace.

Vision

My vision is to take my message of co-creation, accountibility and possibilty on the road to different cities (Paid and paid exceptionally well of course) and to have my music be a part of the presentation which garners standing ovations and literally shifts vibration where ever I am and also book music shows which are extremely well received in the city I'm speaking in. This is my vision.

I share this as I wish to have as many people as possible see this as possible for me. This helps in the process of manifestation and draws to me everything I'm speaking about. Very powerful.

I thank all of you who are willing to see me, Deborah Bishop-Shotland / The Success Angel, in my highest light and in this, or and even greater, reality. I call to me the perfect and right team who has already assisted me in this success and I attract speaking engagements in the major cities, first class travel, all expenses paid, and I attract a fee and am paid $3000 or more, per engagement. I'm in service to the highest good always and as I speak and perform I raise the vibration of possibility and peace by reminding others of how important and powerful they are. Can one person make a difference? YES!!! Is Peace possible in our lifetime? YES!!!

Wow.. I can't believe it's been a few months!

Happy 2007.

I haven't stopped here in awhile as I've been very focused in like minded but other directions that will ultimately add up to some cool things like an Internet Talk Formated Radio show, "The Success Angel Hour" and some other great opportunties, so stay tuned!

That was my personal update.

Speaking of time passing, I think as it is January 2007, it may be time to ask the all important question which is: "Are you where you thought you would be in your life at this time?"

A brutal question for some as it resolves the truth of time spent and gone to be what it is and not some fantasy we can all talk ourselves into about how important wasting that time really was.. ha ha...

Well, while I will say that spending time in unproductive situations can be hard and valuable lessons I can also say that if you haven't learned the lesson yet and you're still wasting time, than consider this a wake up call for you. There is no more time than what you have been blessed with in this life and you have no idea how much time that really is.

Money, which so many are so fixated on mastering, can be made, lost and made again. Time can only go by. Quantum Science supports the idea that we can move through time in any direction however we have yet to know how to practice this principle in any other direction except forward, so for the time being, in this dimension, time is gone once we have lived it. The minute you spent reading this is a minute that was well spent however it is gone, it can not be returned or recovered. So, what's more important, mastering money, or mastering time?

When you spend your time productively and focused on where you are going, you will master all that is in your path. If you spend your time wastefully, meekly and otherwise preoccupied you will develop a habit called procrastination. Procrastination will hamper your endeavors and allow you to make up stories as to why you aren't where you want to be yet. Stop playing this game the truth is the only one who loses is you. If you are attempting to say that you are merely "thinking" about the best plan or approach, or that you have to figure out how to do something in order to get started, I say to you in all canfor, you will never win at the procrastination game.

That said, this clear hard look at where you are in your life is the first step, the first space in which opportunity can be invited to come in. When you take responsibility for the less than perfect you can manifest the perfect as well. In otherwords, if you can admit you are the reason you are where you are right now, you are empowered to do something about it and be where you want to be, or dream of being, in the very near future.

Sound good?

Take stock, realize where you are right now and make a decision. Either you want to be exactly where you are and are not willing to do anything about it, which means that you lose all right to whine about it, or... You are ready to do something different and enjoy different results.

Where do you see yourself right now?

Be courageous and be honest.... The best is yet to come!

When Nothing Appears to Be Going Your Way...

It's easy to go after things when they are showing up. It becomes an instant proving playground that says if you play this way you will get that! That is awesome. It makes it very easy to become someone who goes after they want. Now the truth is that sometimes this momentum will carry you through and evolve in many magnificent directions. However - more than likely at some point you will reach for something way far outside your comfort zone and then you will encounter a possibility that is; life showing up as advertsity.

The point of it all is that the greater the object, the greater the advertsity. The stronger the vision the faster it will arrive and the stronger the opposition could feel. When you know you are on the right path amazing things happen and in order to see the light, sometimes we have to spend a few moments in darkness.

Where this becomes an issue is when people get lost in the darkness, or fail to realize they can find their way and than turn back. Many dreams and magnificent things lay broken and forgotten in this place along with many disillusioned people.

The title of this blog is, become a millionaire in 24 months. Is that possible? Yes. Is is probable? That is where belief combined with timing, opportunity and follow through all measure up, and even with all of those things in place, there is the reality that things are not going to appear to be going the right direction and what you do in that moment will determine the yes of no answer to that question.

Advertsity is a fact of life. We face it every day from the time we were tiny babys, hunger was the first advertsity we faced, walking, talking, all of those things that we somehow stumbled our way into success with were all part of the growing up and rest assured they were adversity. So if being hungry, learning to walk, learning to talk were all part of the opportunities of life, why would we suddenly reach the conclusion that as adults when we hit the wall of adversity we must give up? If we took our beliefs as an adult and the effort we are willing to put forth into our lives and put them into a baby's body, well, for many of us walking would be considered too darn hard and we be far too concerned about looking stupid!

Passion combined with action, persistence and consistency in the face of any and all adversity wins! When nothing appears to be going your way, forge your own path. Stay on target, stay focused, find a way, or simply BELIEVE that it is possible. Stay focused on the outcome, give thanks for the outcome, the success you have already had because it's already happened. Stay there and you will see opportunity before you like the parting of the red sea. You path will show itself, people will offer to assist you, money will show up from unexpected places, the nothing that appeared to be there will take shape and become something. You will find yourself in the right place at the right time.

The trick is to realize that what is outside of you is not the truth of you. What you decide, choose and determine for yourself on the inside can't help but become your outer experience. Be prepared, it will stir things up to become like this, it will wake up the demons, shake up the fear and ultimately allow for all the baggage, all the excuses, all the stories and all the crap to surface and it's what you do next that happens that counts.

Only you decide the life you get to live. When nothing appears to be going your way, stay focused and find another way. If you were driving to some destination of importance you would plan your route, you would follow directions, and if you ended up in the wrong place you would turn around and find your way through because where you are wanting to get to is important. In driving someplace if you took a turn and at the end of the road was a wall, would you give up and go home? That would be pretty ridiculous wouldn't it. Why life your life that way?

When nothing appears to be going your way, celebrate your successes. Remember who you are and where you are going. Listen to only those things that support your forward path. Stop allowing anything else to get in your way. Nay sayers will never tell you to go for it! They don't believe enough in themselves to ever tell someone else to do that. In fact, many folks, who may know and love you will attempt to stop you from ever getting to the other side of your dreams and goals, not because they don't love you but because they don't want to have to do it themselves and if you succeed it means that they could to and they really aren't that excited about making that kind of an effort. Sad? Yes, but that is not who you are, or who you are becoming.

Sometimes you have to be your own beacon, you have to be stronger than your greatest fear and be willing to look at your "stuff" eye to eye. It is the idea that we do not want to confront this things that keep us fighting and struggling. Ease and flow are possible if you allow it. When nothing appears to be going your way, go do something FUN!

The point is this, none of what is opposing you matters, it only has significance if you give it, it only has power if you allow it, it can only derail you if you jump the tracks. Know who you are, just make a decision about yourself and stick to it. Is it easy? Really.. No - however - it is simple.

Stay the course.

Anxiety... The Undoing of Many a Good Person....

Life is rolling along, it always does, through the smooth and the bumpy, some roads really do require repaving, and than without warning theres a sudden big jolt, a screeching halt and a noise dive into a big gaping pothole!

Excuse my metaphor, but there are so many ways to describe the onslaught of anxiety that I thought it best to describe it in a very universal way and one that we can all relate to. That big gaping and sudden pothole can happen at anytime and it can truly feel as though it is swallowing us whole. The damage, although impermanent, can be devasting when it comes to momentum and the rewards you deserve. Persistancy is threatened as the idea of giving up can sound appealing when every where you look it suddenly appears as though nothing is working and it's fool hardy to continue. This is the illusion that comes from anxiety. Anxiety is stress, worry and struggle personafied as it tightens your chest, closes your throat, sends rushes of energy buzzing through your viens, it can leave you light headed, short of breath and with your heart pounding so hard it feels like it could break out of your chest. Possibility is forgotten and fear takes it's place.

Having suffered from anxiety, also known as panic attacks, I can personally testify that when one does not know what is going on it can lead to a very terrifying experience and a trip to the emergency room. If is sobering to realize that we can wrap ourselves up with such intensity that we can literally feel like our life could be ending.

The point here is not to focus on anxiety, but rather to realize it is not real. We have merely worked ourselves into a state that has manifested these feelings and fears. This can be brought on by several things including career change, stress, financial concerns, loss, moving, competition, family gatherings, holidays and birthdays. There are so many ways we can trick ourselves into believing we are helpless and it is that feeling of helplessness that triggers anxiety and panic.

If you feel completely in charge of your life, would there be a need to panic? No. However how many people actually feel in charge?

How do you take charge of your life and counter the effects of anxiety? Well, in my experience, journaling and making lists, staying focused on where I am going versus anything else proved to be the ticket out of anxiety. First there has to be a realization that anxiety is an emotion and it is coming from you, there fore you are able to transform it. Notice I didn't say stop it.. Transformation is far simplier and it does not reflect battling or rejecting what you are feeling, it reflects rather an ability to move through it. Moving through anxiety to the realization that you are in charge and can tranform the emotion is the only way through to a calmer and more peaceful experience. This is what medication is supposed to do, it's supposed to make you feel more in charge and calmer so you can put the situation into perspective. However... if you are taking anti-anxiety medication and never addressing the anxiety itself you are applying bandaids to something you could completely heal if you - step by step - started to understand it.

Understanding anxiety is knowing yourself. Where you are right now, what you are dealing with, the way you feel about what you are dealing with and how other influences outside of you may be effecting your feelings. Attempt to become an observer of your behaviors, when you feel your emotional self getting wound up, take a step back and simply look at what is going on, just like you would watch a movie, or your favority TV Show. Just recognizing you are getting wound up can be enough to allow time and space to breath and remain calm. When you are able to transform anxiety before it gets the upper hand, you will start to believe that even in these most uncomfortable moments you do indeed have a choice.

If anxiety captures you before you can recognize it, that's fine. First thing to do is to call a spade a spade, allow yourself to admit you are having an anxiety or panic attack, take a moment to stop what you are doing and consciously slow your breathing. Start to look around you at everything, the color of the walls, the texture of the carpet, the tree outside the window, the stuff that you can see, get involved with it, focus on it, feel your feet on the ground beneath you. Continue to slow your breathing. If you feel you have to, sit down. If lots of thoughts start racing in your mind, acknowledge them and let them know you will deal with them later. I find it helpful to say "thank you, I'll deal with it later". Breath slowly and focus on one thing around you. Pay very careful attention to every detail you can see and slowly allow yourself to get absorbed in the process, it may take repeating this activity a few times until you feel grounded and calm, however it is a sure fire way to move through the anxiety because you are taking the focus off of yourself.

A great question I ask myself whenever I sense I could be worrying about something, which can lead to anxiety is; "Right now, in this moment, what is wrong?" By the reference to this moment I mean, right here and now, in this exact moment, and I realize I'm fine, all is well and I have brought myself back to living in the moment.
If there is an issue, I ask myself what is the opportunity I have to find a solution to this issue? I refuse to accept problems, they are only opportunities looking for a solution and I am letting go of the belief that it has to be a challenge or that is has to be hard. Fighting to get anywhere only got me more fighting....

Anxiety is man made. The only time the fight or flight survival instinct has any creedance what's so ever is when you are in the forest, or a deep dark jungle, or perhaps in the middle of the ocean and there are things bigger than you with sharp teeth! In that situation, this is a very good emotion. Day to day however, living our lives, achieving our goals, making different decisions to see different results, taking the action to see a better life, these are all good things.

The key to understand on your path to success is that is it the journey that matters, it is how you take each step and how you feel about each step you are taking. Anxiety can become your advisary or it can be transformed into a intiutive sense of self that allows you to understand that you are perhaps engaging in life differently which is the only way you will ever see different and greater results.

Breath.

Getting Creative and Getting On with Your Life

You can be living your life, full out, in full color, following your heart, your passions and achieving your dreams, or....

You can think, or think about thinking, or are maybe be pondering on getting on with things in your life, someday maybe....

Get REAL.

No kidding folks if you are thinking about taking action, you are not taking action. If you are pondering change, you are not living change. You are wasting valuable and precious time by literally being someone who is being busy considering their options.

The pitfall to this type of thinking is very easy to tabulate. So let's review them for a moment. When you think and than overthink something, before you have even taken any kind of action, towards anything, you will probably have found a way to think yourself out of even getting started. When you are pondering the possibilities, you can get very caught up in what may or may not happen in your life. You could get swept away with your imagination and find yourself feeling as though you accomplished something by spending your time this way when in fact, you have done nothing real that would manifest any of what you have been pondering about.

I do want to put this into perspective however so you realize that there is a time for thinking and pondering, it is however only in the very beginning of the process and only to gain clarity on what you want. Not, how to get there, or how to achieve what you want, just what you want.

Ask yourself, what do I want out of this situation. Or... What do I want for my life, or... What do I want to have happen next? Etc. Allow yourself to think about the answer only until the answer comes, write that answer down and get on with it. Behave like the person who already has what you figured out you wanted and the rest will be history.

This is the only time you should ever spend thinking, just long enough to know what you want and than take action. Take action even if you have no idea what to do next, pretend that you do. Mention to a friend what you have decided, go to the library or the book store and read a book/s ont the subject, take a class and just put the wheels in motion. That's all it takes and life shows up. I promise you, this works, everytime.

So. Spend you time thinking about the life you want, or get creative, live outside the box, go for what you know you want, without thinking too hard about it, or at all (if you dare) and get on with the living, enjoying, loving and laughing in your life.

Reality is what you make it.

You Future, You Choice.

If you have ever felt helpless, every wondered why things are working out exactly opposite to what you think you want them, than it's important to understand that it IS your future and it IS your choice.

What you want in life makes the difference between what you will have, what you will recieve and acheive. The ultimate decisive reality is however that what you really believe is possible is what you will experience in your life. No kidding and no way around it.

If you found the ulimate business, but didn't believe you could make the kind of money that that business represents, you won't make that kind of money. You will get what you ask for relative to what you believe is possible. This is how it works. What this means is that you can be in a similar situation as other people and yet experience extremely different results. If you believe you're broke, than no matter what great financial opportunity comes up, you will treat it like you are broke. And maybe at this moment, you bank account is low, however that doesn't mean you have to believe you are broke.

You could have the ulimate relationship right in front of you and you may want a great relationship, you may want to have an amazing person as your life mate, but if you don't believe you are lovable, deserving or able to have this in your life, you will not see what is right in front of you.

It's not meant to be cold or harsh when I present things this way, rather it's meant to be a reality check, a real dose of what is real or imagined in your life. If you really want to know what you believe in, than look around you and see how your belief is manifesting. Take charge, or at the very least understand that you have the ability to take charge, than realize if you make a different choice, right now, your life will change.

It's that simple, and that complex all at the same time. Complex because it's hard to realize you are ultimately the one who decides what you can and can't have, whether you are conscious of it or not. Simple because if you can accept that fact you can literally start to live consciously and practice manifesting a life of your dreams. With a little practice it will become a habit and before you know it you will be making choice that literally allow you everything you can ever dream of.

If it means taking responsibility for living your nightmares, would you be willing to do that if it meant living a life of your dreams? Good and bad, it's all a choice and when you are willing to accept the bad, you can choose the good. Ultimately, it is your future, it is your choice.

You can read this and decide that it isn't true, however if you are not in charge of your future, who is?
